Bhoori Foundation stands as Bihar’s beacon of hope for abandoned and voiceless creatures. Founded six years ago by three passionate college graduates, Nidhi, Rishika, and Kshitij, our organisation has grown from a simple dream into a recognised force for animal welfare, even earning recognition from The Times of India for our transformative work.
Instead of pursuing conventional careers after graduation, our founders chose a path that would forever change the lives of countless animals across Bihar. What started as a heartfelt mission has evolved into a comprehensive animal welfare organisation that rescues, rehabilitates, advocates, and educates.

Nidhi, Rishika & Kshitij – Co-founders
2019 ->
Six years ago, these three college graduates made an extraordinary choice that would define their lives and transform animal welfare in Bihar. Rather than following traditional career paths, they dedicated themselves entirely to creating “a world where no animal suffers on the streets, a place where they feel safe and cared for”.
Their unwavering commitment has led Bhoori Foundation through countless rescue missions, legal battles against animal cruelty, and the establishment of Bihar’s most comprehensive animal welfare programs. From filing FIRs against perpetrators of animal abuse to challenging improper government policies in Patna High Court, their leadership extends far beyond rescue operations.

Digha Shelter Operations
Our rented facility houses 28 animals, each with their own story of survival and recovery. Some animals are treated and returned to their habitats, while others too frail to fend for themselves find permanent sanctuary with us.
